General Audience Workshops

Learn Better. Communicate Better. Live Better.

Learning and communication are two of the most important skills we use throughout life.

Whether we're helping our children, learning a new job, running a business, teaching others, or working toward personal goals, success often depends on our ability to understand information and communicate it clearly.

At Sia Waye Academy, our General Audience Workshops introduce practical tools for improving study skills and communication.

These workshops are designed for individuals, families, businesses, and community groups who want to strengthen skills they can use in everyday life.

Barriers to Study Workshop

Duration: 2–3 hours

Have you ever read something several times without understanding it? Have you attended a class or training session only to discover later that you couldn't explain or use what you learned?

Difficulty learning doesn't always mean a lack of intelligence or effort. Sometimes the problem lies in barriers that interfere with understanding.

The Barriers to Study Workshop introduces participants to common obstacles encountered during study and practical approaches for recognizing and addressing them.

Participants will explore:

The barriers that can interfere with learning.
How to recognize when understanding has broken down.
The importance of understanding words and concepts.
How to approach difficulties encountered during study.
The relationship between understanding and applying knowledge.

The goal: Help participants become more effective, confident, and independent learners.

Communication Workshop

Duration: 3 hours

Good communication is essential to learning, teaching, building relationships, and accomplishing goals.

Yet communication involves more than simply talking. It requires understanding how communication works and developing the ability to exchange ideas effectively.

The Communication Workshop introduces participants to the basic parts of the communication formula and provides practical drills to help them use it.

Participants will learn and practice:

The basic parts of the communication formula.
How the elements of the formula work together.
How to recognize the roles involved in a communication exchange.
Practical drills for using the communication formula.
Applying communication skills in everyday situations.

The goal: Help participants develop greater awareness and practical ability in communication through instruction and guided practice.
